Jesus did a miracle in my life today!

Jesus really does answer prayers now – today. I told you He is alive and well! Do you know how exciting that is? There is nothing – and I mean nothing –on this earth more exciting than that fact. When our eyes and hearts are open and we see His hand in our lives it is a feeling beyond compare! There are no natural phenomena or man-made drugs that can create the high you feel when you know the creator of the universe is with you! Let me share my miracle with you …

The other day on this blog I wrote of a loved one who is suffering, a lot! I was writing a letter to her and it was SO difficult. You have been there. You know what I mean. There are no “words” to really help that person or fix it. What do you say? What solutions can you offer when situations seem hopeless? Even the words “I love you” only go so far in providing a relief from suffering. Often people just need to climb into some ones arms, hide their face from the world, weep and know the person holding them will fix it and everything will be all better in a couple of minutes. But, it is impossible to achieve that comfort once we pass 3 months old isn’t it? Adults don’t have anyone big enough to allow them to climb up onto their lap and be rocked to sleep.

So here I was in the middle of writing this loving … albeit basically ineffective … letter when the miracle started. It was 6:00 am and I was in my living room with my morning coffee praying and writing. I will “list” the chain of events to help you appreciate what happened.

  1. My husband woke up. He NEVER wakes up this early because he is a 2nd shift worker.
  2. My husband made himself coffee. He never does that this early in the morning because this is the middle of the night to him and he will want to go back to sleep.
  3. He turned on the TV news. This really broke my solitude as I was writing this important letter, so I did what every good wife does; I threw him a dirty look tee hee.
  4. The news was the usual. Politicians making promises, some country wants to destroy some other country, some financial collapse somewhere. You know the usual cheery news “stuff”.
  5. Suddenly the news started sharing a story about a pastor who was watching his baby daughter suffer and he could not bear it any longer. In his hopeless and desperate state he wrote a song called “I Believe”. It helped him address the age-old question of “why good people suffer”.

The song directly addressed the very issues my loved one felt. Well, jump out of my skin or what! What are the odds of that chain of events happening at just that moment in time? Are you still questioning my miracle? Well ponder this, what are the odds of major network news covering a story like that these days? Can you say “zip”?

I quickly ended my letter by sharing this miracle, adding a hyperlink to the song and closing with “Jesus Loves You” instead of “I love you”. Thank God Jesus loves my loved one and He has the power to “make everything all better”-no matter what the outcome!!!!

So my 2011 walk with Jesus continues as I pray …

With the loving help of the Holy Spirit to;

  • ·         pray unceasingly,
  • ·         to anxiously look for His kingdom to come (which I believe will happen soon),
  • ·         to seek His will on earth as it is in heaven
  • ·         to depend on Him for my daily bread,
  • ·         to repent and ask forgiveness as the Spirit leads,
  • ·         help to forgive others,
  • ·         and the strength to avoid temptation and be delivered from the evil one.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen

Basically … to walk the talk. To really put into practice walking with Christ now, today, in the modern world… TODAY!

  1. Oh, Ann…..I just go goosebumps!!!! Wow, I mean, WOW. As you always like to say, He is an 11:59 God, isn’t He? I just love it when He graces us with those kinds of answers when we are doing His work. You are a true disciple, my friend.

AND…now for the scolding…..You started a blog and didn’t tell me?! Of course, I want to follow you. Missing you, loving you, my friend.

    • Hey Lynda. Yes, this blog was started because I believe God wanted me to. Thanks for your VERY kind words. I intentionally did not share it with my friends because it is about GOD — NOT about me.

It is a story about HIS interventions in this world now, not my life. However, it was hard to keep my secret when I had a specific person with a need to see God’s hand in their life.

Humility vs. ego … sometimes I think that can be correlated with God vs. Satan. I am praying unceasingly to keep glorifying the true creator of HIS witness. I hope that you understand my dilemma and the reason for my anonymity.

I will continue my private comments via email ………..
